Projects
Here we wanted to share a bit more about our background, our hope for the future, and some of our goals. We still have a lot to learn, so we’re open to adapting, but this is the nuts and bolts of it all.
Who we are
We’re Glyn and Naomi Johnston, and this is our daughter, Minna May. Our journey has taken us from Hamilton, New Zealand, to Budapest, Hungary, and now onwards to Spain.
We felt a clear calling to overseas missions, with a desire to use our professional and creative skills in ways that tangibly serve both the church and the local communities we live in.
What we’re working on
Investing locally in Spain
Glyn will be working at Peña de Horeb, a local Christian camp two hours outside Madrid, supporting its ongoing work with churches, ministries, and families across Spain.
This includes:
Supporting camp operations and development
Assisting with events, retreats, and ongoing maintenance
Improving systems, infrastructure, and workflows
This will allow us to invest deeply in one place while also serving a wider network of churches and ministries.
Equipping the Church
We want to come alongside local churches and ministry leaders, supporting the work they are already doing within their communities.
This looks like:
Building long-term relationships with church and mission teams
Supporting discipleship and evangelism efforts
Offering practical, behind-the-scenes support that enables leaders to focus on people
Telling the stories
Across Europe and the Middle East, we have been helping mission teams communicate their work clearly and compellingly.
Projects include:
Writing and editing newsletters, blogs, and supporter updates
Designing visual assets and simple branding
Creating content for websites and social media
Helping teams clarify their message and share impact
Good storytelling helps people understand what God is doing, and invites others to pray, give, and go.
Why it matters
Mission work is strong when practical service, creative skills, and spiritual formation work together.
We’d love to have you along for the journey. And if something here inspires you to step out or support others, then so be it!

It turns out that leaving all that was known to go and do the ‘Lord’s work’ has had an interesting effect on my sense of self.
